I’ve been looking for crochet baskets for a while now to include as a surprise gift. I love the big chunky knits, the hand made style and the uniqueness of each basket.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Eco Markets and had a stall to sell some of my previous gifts. I love markets. I always have. And the thought of having my own stall was exciting. Until I realised that if I’m at my own stall, then I don’t get a chance to look at everyone else’s products.

I set my stall up and was ready before the official start time of the markets. Interestingly, markets are like garage sales and attract buyers before they have actually started trade for the day. There were a few people around but I managed to sneak off and have a little peek at some of the stalls.Kerri from The Crochet Co hand makes all her own crochet baskets using organic cotton. It was there that I came across Kerri’s stall, The Crochet Co. And I saw all of her beautiful, big, colourful crochet baskets.

And I knew I had found exactly what I was looking for.

Kerri crochets all of her own baskets using organic cotton. I’m not sure how long it takes her to make her baskets, but I bought most of the big ones that she had, and she told me that she would be very busy making more because she had more markets to attend.

I like to buy a few extras to have available on the website for those that love the gift so much that they want another one, or if someone is disappointed because they missed out on purchasing the surprise gift on time.

But this month I only had one extra and it was snapped up after I posted it on Instagram.

Kerri doesn’t have a website, or Instagram or Facebook, but if you like the baskets I can put you in touch with her. I am also going to buy some more and will have them available in the shop soon.
